St. George's Day is coming up, and it's time for the MCR to celebrate the Best of English! The theme for this first dinner of Easter term is 'England through the ages', and you're invited to come in costume. What's it going to be? Queen Victoria? The spinning jenny? Newcastle? The choice is yours, and feel free to be as inventive as you like - there will, as ever, be a prize for best costume of the night!
We'll begin with drinks in the Old Library at 6:45pm, moving to Hall for a delightful dinner followed by English cheeses and port. Afters will combine the charming entertainments and general merriment for which the Emma MCR is rightly famous - we're heading to the Old Library for an old-school disco with cheesy music and dancing for all. The Queen has been invited but has yet to reply.
As ever, drinks for dinner are BYOB and gowns (as well as costumes) must be worn.
